One of the horses trained by Brendan, is called lisathedaddy, named in the memory of Lisa Wilson
15th March 1979- 4th November 2002.
Lisa Wilson graduated from Southampton Institure with an HND in Business and Marketing and a BA (Hons) in Business Management. Following graduation Lisa worked to save money so that she could live her fream of travelling the world. It was during her time travelling in Australia that Lisa was tragically killed in a car crash en route to Ayers Rock. Lisa's parents set up the LISA WILSON SCHOLARSHIP Fund in memory of Lisa and in recognition of her academic achievements.

Lisa's mum, Tricia was surprised to be given a two year old filly for her birthday by Clive. The horse duly named 'Lisathedaddy' is currently in training for it's first race in the new year. Recently schooled by David he has been very pleased with her will to stay ahead of the field, she will soon be moving to Twyford where trainer Brendan Powell is hopeful that she will be a winner. Clive hopes that 'Lisathedaddy' will raise publicity for the charity and give the family some nice days out at the races.

When I was looking for a permanent home for Balmacara, I contacted Tess from The Rehoming Centre in Somerset. We got on extremely well from the first time I spoke to Tess and I never looked back. Balmacara (Connie) is now having the time of her life in Somerset and is loved by all the staff. Tess contacts me regularly to give me updates (verbal, e-mails and photos) on Balmacara's progress, and I have seen first hand how well the horses in her care are looked after.
Tess organised her first show this Summer so I went along to give her some support. It was a great success and raised some much needed funds.
